for the past 3 years mikey & i have gone away for our anniversary to a tropical all-inclusive resort, but this year is a little different because this year my brother & his fiance carrie are getting married down south at the end of july so we're saving our vacation time/monies for that. because i'm going through a little bit of vacation/warm, sunny, tropical withdrawal (everyone's facebook status'/photos about going away doesn't help either) i decided to do a little reflection post on past years...
the first year (3 years ago) we went to the dominican republic,
two years ago we went to varadero, cuba with two of our close friends; mikey's brother bryan & his girlfriend jess and we had a TON of fun together (too much some days maybe?)
& last year we went back to cuba (nothing beats those sandy white beaches) but by ourselves,
& this year we will be heading back to dominican, this time with my whole family, carrie's family & their friends! i am beyond excited...only 6 more months to go.
I know how you feel-back in 2011 I went to Jamaica, Mexico and Alberta! But we're having a baby very soon-so no vacationing for us for a little bit.

ReplyDeleteI should not have gone through this post. My boyfriend and I just started saving for a cruise and these pics are making me want to eat Ramen so I can save ever more money!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain, girl. Since deciding to go back to college a couple years ago the traveling has been on the back burner. I miss it so much and have a growing list of places I need to go when I'm finished this spring :) You can do it! It's a few months that will fly by and you'll have an amazing trip waiting for you!
