( back attack! )

i'm back (almost) we're all moved in but not quite all set up just yet. i can't wait until my closet/office/craft room is set up and i will have my desk built and i can get back to regular blogging. today was supposed to be my day to finish setting it all up however i'm feeling super lazy & relaxed and just don't feel like doing much until work at 5. i would imagine it to be done by the end of the week.

until then, i've been doing really good lately. the move went well, school is going great so far & mikey, bry, jess & i just booked our vacation to cuba for march 1st which i am MEGA excited about it.

we moved last night...finishing up the last bits & pieces tonight.

no internet in the new place until sunday so it will be a week before you hear from me again & i wanted you to know that i am not dead...just desperately in need of a shower :)

i just bought 2 new flavours; the skinny (organic) & white spring pearls which i am currently drinking. it was pretty pricey in comparison to their other teas but so so yummy!

this amazing love seat/chair set we bought off of kijiji.

mikey & our friend russ were nice enough to drive about an hour to pick it up for our new place...the lady told me they were $80, then when the boys got there she had lowered it to only $40 for the set, amazing right? (as i stated in a previous blog post...some will find them hideous [& that's okay] but i am so in love with them & think they are perfect for our sitting room! again with the vintage florals...)

i got so many compliments on this outfit when i was working at h&m last night...this one girl who was about 15 maybe came up to me and said "i have to say...i'm in here all the time & i just love your style!" she totally made my night!! random acts of kindness, so lovely.

you can still see a bit of the cover up (above the roses, in the owl) if you're wondering, this is my side/rib cage and on the right...that is my arm, covering my boob, haha. anyway, i loooove the colour. so vibrant! i cannot WAIT for this piece to be done...it's going to look incredible. i'm REALLY dreading going back though to be honest as side pieces are by FAR the sorest spot to get tattooed (that i've experienced anyway) & that owl is going to be the death of me...ouch!! it's so worth it though...

i apologize in advance for my lack luster posts as i am just starting back to school after the christmas vacation & also busy with packing & moving.

sometimes life gets busy!

( weekend + ikea trip )

this weekend was pretty great. friday mikey & i had a date night and got dinner at the old stone and watched 'town' which was pretty good (fell asleep for the end though i'm sure it was good too haha!) saturday night a bunch of us went to see this daft punk cover band and they were REALLY good. they all played instruments and it was a great dance party!

so yesterday my parents picked me up on their way home from the cottage (& my way home from work) and we went home-home for the night. i got to catch up on my greys anatomy & today my dad was kind enough to take me on a trip to ikea, here's (most of) what i got!

a new desk as elsa is buying my old (bigger) one off of me. this one will be a more appropriate size for my office.

tomorrow i have class. school is so much more appealing when you only have 3 days of it...*sigh* life is pretty wonderful right now. we gotta get our ass in gear though with moving...lots of packing this week & also picking up couches i found on kijiji. i love the pattern (love seat and big one person seat as shown in the photo) pretty great, right? okay i know some of you will think it's hideous but it's so up my alley!!

hello there!

i feel like i really got a lot accomplished today & wanted to share...

- had class from 9am-3pm

- switched into a new elective

(now class is done at 10am on fridays

& doesn't start again until 9am tuesday; amazing!

basically 4 day weekends...)

- got all of my laundry done with lianne

- picked up my keys for the new place

- made notes/measurements for new place

- made a list of things we need

- did a wee bit of shopping

- started to think about packing

...okay, that last one doesn't count, hehe.

i am oh-so-so-so excited to move! this weekend we are going to start packing & slowly moving things in as our landlord is the nicest man in the world and gave us the keys early as the other tenants are moved out, amazing. lianne and i ate subway on the floor of our (empty) dining room tonight and talked about ideas. i have never had so many ideas running through my head...my head actually hurts (okay, maybe that's just a regular headache but i swear it's from all of my thoughts) anywho, i'm dead tired but my long day & need to sleep. class tomorrow from 9-10 am and then i am looking forward to my semester long, long weekends. oh yippee-yi-oh-ki-yay! monday i am going to ikea with my dad, hurray!! dad hates ikea so wish me luck ;) ...love you dad!!

oh oh and mikey, myself, bryan & jess have exciting plans for reading week, oh holy heck i am excitedddd!!

i kind of have baby fever...though i guess i've always had it as i can't wait to be a mum! i know that i won't have babies for another few years because let's be honest, i'm really still learning to take care of myself but my gosh it's tough when so many blogs you follow have adorable little babes...

this is little gemma & her closet, james' newest addition to the family from bleubird vintage she showed a tour of gemmas nursey today and these two photos stole my heart.

& ruby of cakies blog posted this adorable photo of her daughter true & the doll that they made this afternoon during craft time; so cute!

as i said...not for at least 3-5 years but being a mum and having kids just seems like the best thing in the whole world!

today has been great so far,

my osap money came in so i put together my budget for the next 4 months (rent/internet/phone, etc) and put aside that money so that it is out of the way and i don't have to stress about paying bills. mikey took me out for lunch for authentic mexican food from la hacienda, we had burritos and they were delicious! tonight i'm hanging with my friend lianne who i haven't seen since the beginning of december due to the craziness that is the holiday season so i'm excited to spend time with her.

also, i'm making some exciting plans for this year!
