the best part of rainy days...rainboots! mine kinda look like these ones;

you know what would make this rainy sunday perfect? not having to work and i could just stay holed up in the apartment all day making crafts & drinking tea & hanging with andy electric; but alas, work it is. money always wins, doesn't it? rainy days always make me sleepy. it's so true that the sun boosts endorphins. ah well, i can handle being sleepy...at least i got up & went to the gym today.

i plan on designing more notebooks tonight (hopefully i have the energy) as i have two custom orders, one for lauren & one for erika...so that should be fun!!

mikey&i desperately need to go grocery shopping...there's not much that can be eaten in the house right now. that and i need to save money, i might try that kellogs challenge (where you eat nothing but cereal for 12 days or something) sounds cheap and i'd probably lose a few pounds too; bonus! can't wait for my tax return; money money money. hopefully having enough to start thinking more seriously about that new camera i've been craving.

you know what's total bullshit? mascara. i bought this one yesterday (as it was time for a new one...every three months you're supposed to replace it, didja know that?) anyway, i generally try a new one everytime. this one was a cheap ($8.99) and promised my lashes would be 60% longer and 50% curvier...my question is, then what? then the other mascara that promised me that or when my eyelashes are just bare? regardless, no mascara can ACTUALLY extend your lashes by 60%...do they grow when i put this on? it's silly. and us girls fall into the trap. every mascara i've come across looks the exact same (except some of course are chunkier and gloopy) ... of course we want longer, curvier, luscious lashes...no kidding, but no mascara can do that. the only thing that can is falsies and i don't care for long, curvy lashes that badly to spend time putting those bad boys on everyday. i challenge anyone to correct me if i'm wrong...if there's a mascara out there that you actually LOVE and find made a significant difference to your lashes life, please let me know...i'd be more then happy to take back this observation.

alright so i know i talk about this pretty much every other post but my goodness, i am so unhappy with my hair right now, it's just at that awkward 'what the heck do i even do with you?' stage; i don't think i will ever be perfectly content with it. when i get it how i 'want it', i always want to change it. if it's long i want it short so i cut it, a couple months later i want it long again...if it's short i want it long and the only way to get it back is to wear extensions and those can be pretty annoying at times (also to match the colour is hard as mines always changing as it fades and such) ho hum...what to do, what to do. i see all these short cute hairstyles and colour and want them to be mine but i'm trying to grow it out right? ...right? and if i wanted to go back blonde or a light brown or something, i've been told numerous times by different hair dressers that my hair will get fried. well it kind of already is so who cares? ugh...i really wish i had a personal hairstylists. that's the only thing i'd really want/spend money on if i was remotely famous. i just want this hair back...

ahhh! who even is that girl?? it was so pretty. what was i thinking ever cutting it or changing the colour?? blondes DO have more fun...at least i had more fun doing my hair when it was blonde...it looked good naturally wavy too. *sigh*

today i went to value village and got all these beauties; only $1.99 each! i couldn't believe it...normally i look at the sunglasses bin and it sucks but today i lucked out bigtime! i got some other sweet finds too, of course.

i borrowed this idea from elsie! it's such a smart way to display all your shades&glasses. i painted the hangers with polka dots and opposing red&blue colours; cuuuute! today was lovely. did some shopping during the day, crafting in the afternoon and tonight (right now) we're having some drinks at our apartment. collin is bringing his hound dog puppy over; so excited to see it!!

it's midnight and i just got home from work; time to get crafty! i actually have orders...eeee ♥ haha this is pretty exciting for me. tomorrow i have the day off and i am going to wake up early (no sleep ins, i'm not wasting any time!) going to the gym, heading to some shops; value village, chapters, the mall and dollarama. woooo!! i so look forward to days off now...i wish i had a job i loved.

lately i've been so tired, i don't know what it is. but i find it incredibly hard to wake up before noon...if not later. i need to get my ass back in gear and start going to the gym instead of sleepy sleeping. get lifting some weights, like this girl...cause everyone knows you are supposed to wear lingerie to the gym!

haha. anyway! tomorrow is my other day off. it also happens to be pay day!! that means going shopping...not for clothes, for craft stuffs! i plan on getting mega crafty tomorrow...making more totes, monsters & snugglies! i also have another idea for something that i want to work on as well.

i'm very pleased with the response to my facebook album about selling things. i currently have sold one small notebook and three snugglies (in one day!) feels nice that people actually like the stuff i make as well.

alright, since i slept in i have no time today to do anything other then shower (again, that whole showering thing taking up my precious time) haha.

the inside is vintage fabric from the 80s...pretty sure my mum made pillows out of this fabric for me when i was baby...right mum? i also made the snuggly below (for cellphones, cameras, ipods, etc) today...also availible for $8 (i think it's one of my favourites. i love bows!)

last night was a lot of fun; dinner was incredible (as per usual) and we had good conversation, talking about old high school stories! mikey&i came home and cracked open a bottle of wine and kept up with the good conversation; talking about our pasts (& futures) and how happy we are today ♥

if only i was 22 in the 50s...

tomorrow is my day off; and i'm really looking forward to it! i miss having two days off in a row, i'm not sure why that changed but i would like it to go back to that please&thankyou. at least mikey & i have one full day off together. i can't wait until may when the new training classes come out and they get stuck with the crappy three til midnight shifts cause i'm just about sick of 'em.

this little blythe doll is so cute & springy! and makes me want to dye my hair pale blue & maybe even wear a pink dress (that'll be the day...)

the other day was the first day of spring; hurray! it's about time. the sun has been shining for the past couple weeks but the last couple days have been cold still, i'm ready for real (consistent) warm weather please!!

recently i have seen a lot of this girl in peoples blogs...audrey kitching. who is this pretty lady and why can't i have her long thick pretty pink hair?? (probably extensions...regardless. she may have just made up my mind about cutting/growing my hair. growing it is...forever)

she's so friggin' cute. i wish i had the money to have awesome hair like this. to pay for wicked extensions, a colour job so your hair is constantly bright (mine would be red though, of course) and to have a hair stylist to make it look sweet, all of the time. i know i'll probably change my mind by like, next week and want to cut my hair again but for now...i think i'm going to keep growing it. it's doing pretty well too. it's just going to be a lot of ponytails, headbands & hats...i haaate the awkward in between stage more then anything (well...maybe not anything) but it's pretty annoying. today i wore it like this:

hmmm, what do we think? i know somedays i like it big&curly and other days it drives me nuts when it's like this! i got some compliments on it though today, so that's always nice! ya, i think i'm going to let it grow...that and i don't have monies for a haircut right now anyways so it works. it's funny though cause last week i was all gung-ho on getting it cut short again...i'm such a gemini.

i'm starting to hate showering. haha, now i know that i have to so no worries, i'm not turning into 'that kid' but don't you just find some days (most days) that you have way more things to do and showering just takes up an uneccessary amount of time that you'd like to be spending doing something else?

especially after you sleep in. sleeping in is a double edged sword, it feels great cause you get to lie in bed and relax and catch some more zzz's but then once you wake up and realize it's almost one, you work at three and you wanted to get things done today, it kind of sucks.

these are my dilemmas today.

yesterday was absolutely exactly what i needed, in every respect. mum came to visit and we had a lovely day! took andy to the vet to get her shot (side note: i think she's done being in heat...knock on wood; still getting her spayed asap cause i never want to experience that again) then we stopped at this antique store (which i loooove) it's SO big and there's so much to look at/lust over. i just kept saying "i need a house...i need a house" there was this incredible yellow table & chairs from the 70s and it was absolutely perfect. if i had a spare $249 and a spot to put it, they would have been mine! again, needing that house...i got a jar of buttons (some really awesome vintage ones, sets of buttons in it too!) then we went to winners where i got some cute shorts (can't wait for summer!) & this super cute red dress...

after that we headed for lunch at the pizza factory where we ate delicious pizza and chit chatted. then we went to the mall, got a cute top from old navy (gotta love $5 tees!) with a red anchor & ♥ on it! we made one last stop at fabricland before heading home, where i got some polyfill stuffing (for pillows & monsters) and some more buttons (you can never have enough)

(i wish my camera wasn't crappy and would show the little anchors on the navy blue ones) i looove the little scissors, mum spotted those ones! then we went to s.o.s where mum got some hot new kenneth cold sandals and then to flavour where i got the cuuuutest obey dress; ohmygosh i'm so in love with it!! and i know you wanna see it...

navy blue & white stripes, gold buttons, pockets, rope ties...*sigh* the photo really doesn't do it justice! but i just got home from the gym so i'm not really into modelling it right now. but ahhh, how cute is it?! (thanks mum ♥!!!) after mum left, mikey and i spent the night cuddling on the couch, watched 'as good as it gets' (i love that movie) and being lovely dovey. today is a gorgeous day, the weather is nice (kinda chilly but the suns out!) i started back at the gym today after a week + long break due to my cough...feels good to get back into it. heading to work for four...hope everyone has a great friday!
