peterborough looks like a snowglobe right now! snow! snow! snowy snow! i hope this random all-day-long snowfest doesn't stop my mum from coming to visit me tomorrow!! we were supposed to have lunch and go shopping and she was going to be the best mum and take all of my laundry home and do it for me! considering i haven't done laundry in well over a month that would have been lovely...*sigh* here's hoping she still comes. i miss her!!
i'm very sad to say that i'm missing little miss christmas herself, julie ross' christmas party tonight. it's one of my favourite things at this time of year & i'm missing it...bah humbug!!

ps: the photo above was taken in B.C by a friend of mine.
photo props to jacob allen-jordan for taking an absolutely breathtaking photo.
(pps: last night after taking that benadryl, i passed out. twelve hour sleep; wowza!)

♥ life is cute ♥
some people get seasonal depression, some people (like myself) get into happier moods, what with the holidaze and all. so for those who are feeling a little down...here's some super cuteness!

once again my most favourite contemporary artist in the world has done a print that i want...sorry, need to own. where's that money tree i ordered on ebay; lol! his prints are so cutesy but so true to life as well. know what i mean? he's one of those people that can make absolutely anything and eeeveryone will find (in one way or another) that they can relate to it. this one is the cutest i think i've come across. you can check out more stuff at http://www.kurthalsey.com/

cute babies!! living in peterborough has it's perks, lots of baby mamas...therefore lots of babies (even if their mum is trash) baby = still cute (usually!) & speaking of cute things...oh my goodness !!! (photo below)

pretty much sums that right up!

i'm gonna have to cut this short. i took benadryl about an hour ago and they are definitely kicking in. body buzz...

i feel funny.

said here i am...

i am currently sitting on my living room floor, listening to something corporate and wrapping christmas presents all cutesty wootsey and making equally as cutesy wootsey christmas cards. i throughly enjoy sitting on the floor, no matter how uncomfy hardwood can sometimes be, sitting on the floor usually means i'm doing something crafty and that, is always a good thing.

another good thing; something corporate. i have loved you since i first saw you at warped tour some six or so years ago. i will always love you, no matter how cheesy and highschool'esque and 'emo' some (okay, most) of your lyrics are.

konstantine will always be one of my top three fave songs and i don't care who knows it!! oh ya, dashboards cool too. go ahead, poke fun...

ps: only eight more chocolates left on your advent calendar

(unless yours is like mine and it has til new years; yessss!)

marilyn.

this poster now has a special spot on the wall in our living room. mikey saw it the other day and took me back for a look, of course i had to have it! look at those glasses; what a pretty lady. i often wonder what it would be like to be someone so fabulous. i mean, a singer, a model, an actress. not to mention a full blown sex symbol and legend; someone every woman wants to look like and every man wants to be with. it's funny how we 'think' we have people like this from our generations as well. but who would those people be? celebrities today are just trash. there's no other explanation. no, of course not all of them are but let's be honest, there's no one i can think of off the top of my head that's in the spotlight that i would consider a role model. searching for this photo on google images, i came across a photo of linday lohan imitating famous poses of marilyn monroes, i almost puked.

(& something completely unrelated)
i just got this photo off of my camera. i think i was trying to take it because my mum asked for photos of andy in her christmas bandana (which didn't last very long as apparently cats don't like that kind of stuff) anyway, this kind of captured just how MUCH she didn't like, lol.
[ sidenote: contrasted for better affect ]

hahaha
happy holidays!!!

ten days 'til christmas!!

omg! what i wouldn't give to have this adorable tree in my apartment.
hmmm...maybe it would fit through the skylight...maybe...it's worth a try!

i ♥ you hello kitty!!!

neon.

my cousin erin was going through old photos i guess and tagged me in a few on facebook. i looove old photos! check out the tassels on my bathing suit (i'm the one in the neon yellow with green polka dots) weren't the 9os the best for rad clothes??

that's all for today :)

December 12, 2008

one day, something like this will be mine

*sigh*
so so soooo beautiful! i found this at www.apartmenttherapy.com
a little seafoam green would make this kitchen absolutely perfect!
& yes, these are the kinds of websites i frequent now :)

tgif?

tgif never means as much when you have to work the following day...hmph!! but on the plus side, it was PAYDAY!! that meant going scrapbook/christmas card supply shopping on my break! (there's a scrapbooking store that i have to walk by about twenty times a day...this is problematic for someone like myself who would love to spend all of her money there) today i just spent a small fortune, no big deal :) hehe.

time to get crafty ♥

also, i have the most precious babycat in the whole world.

yes, she's mentally unstable but she takes a damn cute photo.

facehunter this week.

one of my favourite blogs is facehunter, i think it's awesome! one day, i'll be facehunted and on this site (i can only hope) but sometimes...you've just got to wonder!

blue lipstick, really? i remember when that was cool in grade six...five...? maybe it wasn't even cool, just one of those things that you got at the dollar store thinking it was cool!

in other news:
this girl...totally cute.

why oh why couldn't i have been born asian?
i find most people find that they were born in the wrong era...ya know, they're super mod and should have been born in the 6os or they're totally hippies and should have been born in the 7os...some people even find they were born the wrong gender. but me, i was born the wrong race. hmph! only super cute asian people can pull super kawaii looks. i, on the other hand, would probably look ridiculous in such outfits. no fair!
(side note: i hope no one takes offence to this post. i'm not sure why they would seeing as i'm saying i wish i was a certain race, no hate, just love. i'm jealous, that's all)

hi! it's me. your friendly neighbourhood tea granny.
i've decided to start blogging, neat hey? i mean everyone else has one...why not? i'm not sure what's going to be included yet...probably random things; photos, thoughts, ideas, crafts, etc...the usual! it's going to be fun, that's all i know!!

the gal in particular who made me want to start blogging is miss stefanie:

she's the cutest girl and she has a sweet blog that i check every day (ps: post mooore!)

you can check that out at: http://www.gunsathome.blogspot.com/

so if you're reading this then you must want to (so thankyou)
...or you stumbled upon it by accident ( and for that, i'm sorry)

pwef; i'm glad that's over
the first post is always awkard. filled what 'what do i say's and such.
